Construction of this new 4000 square foot home began earlier than anticipated due to flooding of the existing house caused by Superstorm Sandy. The finished floor is elevated an extra foot above the Base Flood Elevation (BFE) to give the property some added resilience against the next great nor’easter. The interior includes a master bedroom suite on the first floor, four bedrooms with two baths on the second floor, an exercise room, a game room with bar, and a bonus room in the attic that has views of the ocean and the bay. The plan is an L shape design that preserves the property’s rear yard and the exterior design includes three decks for plenty of outdoor living opportunity.
